- Ruby Group are recruiting for a temporary or contract opportunity suitable for an experienced interim FD (who has had exposure to selling a business) within heavy industries. This is a 6-12 month contract reporting to the CEO. You will be an integral part of the management team. The task is to assist in the selling of a (currently confidential) part of the business and assist in seeking cost affective operations for the new entity while improving financial performance through MI and challenging all aspects of the business.
The ideal Interim FD will be required to:
· Support the group in the business sale creating a new legal entity, registering for VAT, opening multi-currency bank accounts and providing para legal support
· Create a system of financial controls with simple procedures and processes
· Select and implement a simple ERP/accounting system
· Design and implement appropriate management information
· Produce a 2017 budget
· The ideal Interim FD role will suit:
· A qualified company accountant with 15-20 years’ experience working in small companies ideally in heavy industries/manufacturing
· Experience of selling a business (ideally out of a larger one)
