- Ruby Group are looking for a group reporting manager to join a growing FTSE business located in the heart of London’s west end. Reporting to the Group Head of Finance You will be responsible for the group’s financial reporting and balance sheet management, including finance support for a variety of corporate and business projects. Your key deliverables will be to.
Supervise monthly financial statements for the Group, including review of consolidation and management of the balance sheet. Manage the month end close process across the Group and the balance sheet reconciliation process at a Group-level. Prepare Group financial statements and disclosures for external reporting at interim and year-end. Identifying changes in external accounting, regulatory and legal disclosure requirements that will have an impact on the Group’s external financial reporting. Draft and implement new accounting policies, in particular new accounting standards including IFRS16 Leases. You will be the Key point of contact for external auditors and project managers and assist with the annual and interim audits. Manage the process of the preparation and review of subsidiary financial statements and other statutory fillings. Provide expert advice on specialist and technical accounting areas both in the context of annual financial reporting and to support a variety of corporate and business projects on an ad hoc basis. Manage high level specialist accounting areas, such as impairment reviews, f/x accounting, share-based payments etc. Responsible for the accounting, financial process and financial control across two specific trading subsidiaries of the Group, including one based in Poland. Embrace the drive for continual improvement across the finance function and the wider business. Other key internal relationships include Divisional FD’s, Investor Relations, FP&A, Tax and Treasury teams.
The ideal applicant will have a professional qualification in either ACCA, CIMA or ACA and have at least 2 years post qualified experience. You must have experience Managing the balance sheet, producing financial statements and statutory accounts In accordance with IFRS and GAAP. Multi-currency group consolidations is advantageous. Ideally having gained this experience working within or auditing listed businesses. The ideal applicant will have excellent communication skills as you must be able to build quick and effective working relationships and also understand and communicate complex technical financial matters to senior and non-financial people. You must have a strong technical knowledge but also be commercially astute. Because of this planned growth you will have the opportunity to progress into a divisional FC/FD position or progress in to a more senior group level role.
