- Ruby Group are recruiting for a London based Deputy Group Financial Controller position within a recognised international PE-backed £600 million t/o telecommunications firm. The role is suitable for a Big 4 ACA (ICAEW) trained candidate with at least 3-4 years PQE ideally with post qualified industry exposure.
You will have a talented and motivated peer group and the business has recently received PE investment so this is a great opportunity to join and make a tangible impact. The role includes complex, methodical excel focused multi-entity international consolidations. While there will be systems in place the successful applicant will need to have a grasp of what is happening manually behind the system and identify and address risks while informing the business of any red flags that could have a negative impact.
Other aspects will include management of the month end close and consolidation process which includes ownership of the timelines and an understanding of how IFRS rules affect the Balance Sheet, P&L and Cashflow entries. Previous experience of manually producing monthly IFRS and management consolidation is key while there will be an opportunity to contribute to the ongoing consolidation automation project.

The ideal Deputy Group Financial Controller will possess the following attributes/skills:
· Current or previous Big 4 (ICAEW) exposure with circa 4 years PQE (or equivalent)
· Group level consolidation skills with full analysis of management reporting
· Excel modelling skills
· Extensive systems and consolidation process exposure
· Confident and clear communication skills
· Natural gravitas with a hunger to overcome challenges
