- Ruby Group are recruiting for a London based Head of Finance position within the UK Mobile division of a recognised international PE-backed £600 million t/o telecommunications firm. The role is suitable for a Big 4 ACA (ICAEW) trained candidate with at least 3-5 years PQE with post qualified telecommunications industry exposure.
You will have a talented and motivated peer group and the business has recently received PE investment so this is a great opportunity to join and make a tangible impact. The role heads up a medium sized UK entity that involves managing 2 transactional and 2 PQ accountants. The role reports to the commercial director overseeing financial control and commercial finance of a £80mn t/o internal function. There will be monthly management reporting under IFRS and UK GAAP as well as commercial analysis of financial performance in order to help the budget holders manage their numbers. The role involves, planning, budgeting and forecasting while preparing cash forecasts, supplier payment plans and management of receivables. There will also be various efficiency/improvement projects.
This is a high profile role where communication and relationship building skills are key. The working environment is impressive, fast-paced, rewarding and evolving day by day. The ideal Head of Finance (UK Mobile) will possess the following attributes/skills:
· Qualified ACA/ACCA via a big 4 practice firm
· At least 4 years PQE
· Telecommunications industry experience
· Accountancy staff management skills at all levels
· AX Dynamics exposure (desirable)
· Strong commercial acumen to project propositions and business cases
