- Ruby Group are recruiting for a Leatherhead, Surrey based Assistant Accountant vacancy suitable for a smart individual with cost analysis skills an AAT qualification or an ACCA, CIMA (ACMA), CPA, ACA (ICAEW) part qualification or studier.

You will be working very closely with business Managers and reporting to the Financial Planning Manager with 60% of your time focusing on costing, inventory and materials management. You will confidently take responsibility as the first point of contact for factory queries, comparing actuals to forecasts and generally solving problems. Working with an experienced Cost accountant you will be looking into production analysis and efficiency testing. The remaining 40% of your time will involve assistance with core accountancy, reviewing fixed assets and supporting the team with accounts production and query resolution.
The ideal Assistant Accountant will possess the following attributes/skills:
· Exposure to costing variance analysis ideally gained from a process manufacturing background (required)
· FMCG or Manufacturing experience (required)
· Attention to detail, Energy, persistence, mental strength, resilience and an inquisitive mind
· Knowledge of SAP is desirable with an intermediate level of Excel including VLOOKUP and pivot tables
