- Description
Ruby Group are recruiting an experienced Group Accountant for a fast-growing, global business currently operating in over 20 countries based in the City of London. This is a maternity cover that can result in a permanent position. The role will report to the Group Finance Manager and Group Financial Controller. The main duties/responsibilities are: -
- Lead and control the budget cycle, take full management of the total balance sheet, annual financial calendar, Group reporting processes, presentation preparation during reporting periods and forecasting processes.
- Overseeing the budget and P&L for the Group Headquarters, controlling accounts policies and procedures, business partnering the tax team and being a point of contact for key internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage and improve processes surrounding consolidation
- Develop reporting for any new acquisitions
- Provide support to international offices
- Assist with year-end and liaise with auditors.

The ideal Financial Accountant possess the following attributes/skills:
- Fully qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with at least 2/3 years post-qualified experience
- Experience with IFRS regulations
- Experience with complex consolidations
- Extensive understanding and experience of financial reporting and governance
- Able to work under pressure and be organised to meet tight deadlines on time
- Statutory accounts preparation
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience working in a large company would also be desirable
