Ruby Group are looking for an ambitious Assistant Management Accountant to join a finance team within a fast-paced retail environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified accountant to gain exposure to both internal and external reporting, while developing technical and commercial skills. In this role, you will support the Finance Manager with key responsibilities across property-related reporting, management accounts, and statutory compliance. You’ll work closely with stakeholders across finance and operations, providing accurate analysis and driving process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Conduct P&L variance analysis and produce supporting schedules.
- Manage property payment runs and adjustments.
- Set up and amend leases in Oracle.
- Assist with forecasting, budgeting, and variance bridges.
- Support external reporting including audits, statutory accounts, and tax returns.
- Handle ad hoc analysis and queries from internal and external stakeholders.
About You:
- Part-qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/AAT finalist) with strong ambition to qualify.
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in MS Office.
- Exposure to ERP systems (Oracle preferred) and BI tools such as Hyperion or Qlik.
- Retail or property experience advantageous.
- Highly organized, proactive, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
This is a hybrid working role, 2-3 days a week n the office, study support and an excellent benefit package is offered.
