Ruby Group are looking for a credit controller to join a ftse100 located in London bridge. This is an newly created role as a result of an increase in workload. Reporting to the credit manager. Your responsibilities will be
- Credit control by telephone letter and email
- working up to litigation
- debtors days reporting
- Working to weekly and monthly deadlines.
- dealing with and resolving complex issues.
- Manage your own clients and book of debtor accounts and developing relationships with the front office and clients in order to approach each case in the right way
- Chasing using email, letters, and telephone to contact debtors and ensure payment of outstanding invoices
- Credit check new customers and open new credit accounts
- Record of all communication with the customer on the system
- Query resolution for clients and internal customers liaise internally to progress any problems to the legal team
- Regular account reconciliation for the whole debtor ledger
- Report outstanding issues to management and inform them early of potential debtors problems
The temporary period will be for (circa) 3 month at which point the position will transfer to a permanent position paying circa £28k - £32k plus benefits and bonus. They have an open plan office with a friendly environment of 50 people in a finance department. The business is stable and established, boasting £450 million turnover and steady year on year growth and you will be overseeing a £3 million ledger. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record reducing debtors day working to weekly and monthly targets. You will have worked up to litigation and have excellent communication skills. have a desire to work in a fast-paced environment and apply yourself exceeding expectations.
