Finance Manager - Retail

Ruby Group are looking for a Finance Manager to join an international retail brand that has seen consistent levels of growth, my client has secured investment to continue this trend. Reporting to the Financial Controller your responsibilities will be to supervise a team of five. You will have overall responsibilities for overseeing all activities within the Finance Department, managing a small team whilst actively driving processes and encouraging compliance across the business functions. Working collaboratively with key departments to continuously strengthen the delivery of the finance function. Overall responsibility for overseeing the production of the periodic Management Accounts, Produce P&L’s, balance sheets for head office divisions. Accruals and pre-payments, Control accounts - debtors, creditors, cash, stock, tax, Fixed assets - additions, disposals, depreciation. Prepare and present monthly Management Report commentary including variance analysis. Set-up and maintain accounting system/package. Provide analysis on management accounts and make recommendations to the Financial Controller and the Finance Director. Variance analysis to budget and previous periods. Develop and seek to improve management reporting systems with the Finance Controller and Finance Director. Ensure financial controls are implemented and adhered to. Work with all Head of Department as part of the budget setting process. To take full responsibility of year end audit including preparing a full set of accounts and period end file of balance sheet analyses. Implement projects as directed by the Financial Controller and/or Finance Director. You will also get involved with Ad-hoc projects and reporting.

The ideal applicant will be fully qualified in either ACCA/CIMA/ACA and have produced a full set of monthly management accounts with commentaries and variance analysis. You must have supervised teams and have advanced excel skills. Candidates that have retail / multi site experience will have an advantage.
