- Ruby Group are recruiting for a permanent opportunity suitable for an experienced internal auditor. Our client is an international construction business and can be based from St Albans or Dublin reporting to the finance Director.
The business has a strong emphasis on performance, quality, team work and a “hands-on” management approach to ensure client satisfaction. With annual turnover exceeding £750m and has a history that spans 150 years.
Your responsibilities will include, Scoping and developing audit plans. Assessment the risk management processes in place and test the effectiveness of the control environment. Other duties will include recommendations and communications in the form of reports that reflect the results of the audits undertaken.
Recommendations of how to improve the control environment and ensure regular communication with the key stakeholders is required while performing research to anticipate emerging issues.
The ideal internal auditor will possess the following attributes/skills:
• ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA qualified accountant
• Audit experience in a practice environment
• Up to date knowledge of HMRC/Irish revenue requirements – especially with regards to subcontract payments.
• Willingness to travel for various projects
• Strong excel/PowerPoint/report writing skills
