- Description
- Ruby Group are looking for a Finance Manager to join a well know brand located near Watford. Our client employs more than 16000 people and has a turnover of more than 400 million. Our client has seen consistent levels of growth and have further plans to expand. As a result this position is newly created. Reporting into the finance director you will be working as part of a fast paced, friendly finance team, playing a key role in decision making and the support of operational teams. Your responsibilities will ultimately be the business partner to the Head of Finance and CFO.
- Act as a strong business partner by building effective working relationships at all levels, including Senior Managers. Help to support and advise in order to maximise opportunities and reduce risks for the Business
- Manage, enhance and review management accounts process, analysis and commentary (3-5 days in the period) and present to Manager and Head of Finance. Ensure they are insightful, error free and issued to agreed timelines
- Manage, enhance and review weekly & periodic KPIs (Monday sales, Board results pack), ensure they are insightful, error free and issued to agreed timelines
- Lead and enhance process for the production of the Annual Budget and Quarterly and present to Senior Management in Finance and Retail
- Identify and implement improvements to business processes to increase efficiency and ensure all costs are recorded accurately in the accounts. Challenge and review results to seek opportunities to increase income/reduce costs and risks
- Maintain and enhance financial controls ensuring accuracy and robustness of reporting and budgeting processes
- Support ad hoc requests for analysis and information from Head of Finance, FD, CFO, Directors and their direct reports
- Preparation of information for external reporting
- Manage and develop team of 3-4 qualified accountants
- Must demonstrate a strong commercial understanding of the business, which is reflected in the reports, analysis and commentaries, provided and assist the Head of Finance in managing the overall business
- Continually look to improve the processes and reporting for the business
