Financial Accountant

Ruby Group are recruiting for £400mn t/o business who have a recognised brand name. It is a permanent opportunity in central London suitable for an experienced financial accountant ideally with manufacturing, retail or FMCG experience.

The business has a modern open plan office with a breakout area, onsite bar, table tennis tables and a weekly visit from the office masseur. They will pay a 5% company bonus on individual and personal performance together with a car allowance once you have passed the 6-month probation period. Other benefits are flexible and standard for this level of role.

There will be a focus on fixed assets, cash & banking, year-end and month end. In summary you will be tracking the companies’ income and expenditure, helping to run payroll, preparing monthly and year-end accounts, co-leading the audit, identifying financial risks or irregularities, conducting investigations into losses and occasionally giving advice on budgeting and increasing profits.

The ideal financial accountant will possess the following attributes/skills:

• Fully Qualified or Finalist CIMA (ACMA), ACA (ICAEW), ACCA or equivalent with industry experience or a practice trained accountant with some post qualified exposure
• Advanced in Excel (including VLOOKUP’s, pivot tables and basic macros)
• Oracle or SAP exposure is a bonus
• Communication skills are key as there is a lot of non-finance interaction
