- Ruby Group are recruiting for a permanent opportunity suitable for a finance professional seeking an assistant accountant role within the luxury retail industry based in South Kensington, South West London.
This a very fashionable, trendy business with a fun, approachable, easy going and relaxed feel to it with some very high-end clients. They have a mix of people within the business with some very exciting new additions and people who have been around for over a decade. On top of your basic salary, you will receive 50% study support with 2 days of study leave per exam, 22 days holiday and the typical life assurance and pension one would expect.
This is a small finance team which will involve working closely with the Finance Manager to maintain the Company’s books of account and implementing appropriate systems, processes and controls. You will be responsible for posting Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger and Cashbook accounts while preparing schedules of accruals and prepayments for inclusion in the monthly management accounts. You will also be maintaining the books up to trial balance and assisting with the production of monthly management accounts and other periodic reporting.
The ideal Assistant Accountant will possess the following attributes/skills:
· Excellent communication skills
· A passionate, open personality, ready to contribute and share ideas
· Exposure to stock accounting (desirable)
· Fully qualified AAT holder or a studier,
· Potentially an early to mid-stage ACCA, CIMA (ACMA) or ACA (ICAEW) studier
· Sage 50 (desirable)
· Willingness to contribute to some administrative elements of the role (initially 50% reducing to 0% as you grow with the company)
