- Ruby Group are looking for a UK Financial Accountant to join a ftse250. This is a newly created role reporting in to the UK Financial Controller. You will be a senior member of the UK Finance Team playing a key role in the development of the team challenging the status quo of processes and formalizing documentation and controls. Your responsibilities will be managing the monthly reporting process and controls, ensuring the production of timely, accurate financial information and analysis for the UK operating segment and subsidiary legal entities, proactively identify opportunities to develop and improve existing processes, project manage and drive process to successful implementation. Supporting the UK FC in the reporting of monthly results to Group finance, clearly documenting and articulating drivers for variances to budget, key accounting judgements, and opportunities and risks to the budget for the financial year. Taking a lead role in responding to technical accounting issues that impact UK Finance. Building strong relationships with external audit team to complete Group and local audits to tight deadlines. Ensuring the UK segment is compliant with all Group policies and relevant technical accounting pronouncements and standards, ensuring appropriate financial controls and processes are in place to ensure accurate and timely production of financial information. Assist with ad hoc finance projects and provide support to Director of Corporate Finance.
The Ideal applicant with be fully qualified in either ACA, ACCA or CIMA and have at least two years post qualified experience gained whilst working within the a group finance function. Advanced Excel and communication skill are essential. You must have a strong working knowledge of IFRS, and GAAP is essential.
