- Description
Ruby Group have been instructed on a Financial Accountant business for a blue-chip company located near Trafalgar Square. The permanent role is newly created and reporting into the Financial Controller. The role includes managing one direct report (assistant accountant) within a complete finance team of 25. The main duties responsibilities are as followed: -
- Ownership of monthly trial balance and balance sheet
- Prepare monthly manual journal review and commentary
- Production of full accounts in accordance with IFRS and GAAP
- Business partnering with multiple cost centres
- Monthly P&L reviews
- Review all UK and International cash reconciliations
- Prepare and submit the periodic VAT returns for multiple international countries and keeping abreast of any changes in local requirements
- Prepare Company statutory accounts
- Responsible for managing and overseeing interim and year-end audit and liaising with external auditors
- Work closely with the Financial Accounting Manager/Financial Controller on all areas of statutory accounts across the UK and internationally, year-end, audit queries, tax and VAT
The ideal candidate would be an ACA/ACCA or CIMA qualified professional who has worked in a similar role within a large business. The candidate would also have strong technical experience e.g. IFRS/GAAP and be an advanced user of Excel. Excellent communication skills are essential for this role and ideally, the candidate would have managed a direct report.
