- Ruby Group are recruiting for a remote fixed term contract opportunity suitable for an experienced Financial Controller, Finance Manager, or Senior Accountancy Professional to work within the subscription e-commerce technology industry typically based in Central London but currently remote for the duration of the 6-month contract.
They are looking for a senior candidate who can work independently, without supervision to close month-end and then improve processes and eventually hand over to a less experienced candidate once processes are established.
The business has been through some positive change and has grown significantly over the last few years. You will be working in a fast-paced, technically advanced accountancy landscape with the potential to grow with the business and transfer to a permanent role should you wish to after making your mark.
You will be assisting the financial controller with the month-end close but producing an accurate and timely management accounts pack. The remainder of your time will be spent on ad-hoc project work to improve processes within the finance team. The current set up is very manual and one needs to be able to handle ambiguity and communicate challenges in real-time. You need to have ample experience closing the month-end accounts and be comfortable with excel ideally to an advanced level.
The ideal Senior Management Accountant will possess the following attributes/skills:
- Experience from both a large corporate and a growth environment
- Advanced Excel (desirable)
- Experience of manual, Microsoft excel based accounting
- CIMA, ACA (ICAEW) or ACCA qualification
- Experience of international subscription-based revenue accounting (desirable)
