- Ruby Group are recruiting for a Permanent Management Accountant or Bookkeeper opportunity for an Accountancy Practice based in Croydon, South London.
The firm has a rich history and is well established with a practical, business partnering, person-centred approach. You will sit within the client support team and have technical skills that require accuracy. You will be responsible for the preparation of accurate and reliable accounts (and all other associated work – including management accounts, VAT returns, personal tax) for directors and shareholders to ensure that they are able to make informed business and personal decisions.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Statutory accounts and corporation tax using XERO
• You will be providing basic bookkeeping/vat training to the bookkeeping team of 4
• There will be some on site client work with large clients, but it will mostly office based
• Working with clients that have over £500,000 turnover and above
• Complete routine client processing for bookkeeping in lines with the agreed service proposal
• Ensure that work is completed/reviewed in line with current VAT and tax legislation being mindful of special VAT schemes in place, including partial exemption and property transactions
• Preparation of client monthly / quarterly management accounts in line with agreed service proposal including journals such as accruals, prepayments, and depreciation
• Preparation of company accounts, partnership accounts, sole trader accounts and LLP accounts including use and completion of template working papers ensuring the reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts and review of P&L items, resolving queries with the client
