- Ruby Group are recruiting for a permanent opportunity suitable for an experienced Audit Manager from a practice background based in Croydon.
The firm has a rich history and is well established with a practical, business partnering, person-centred approach. You will be taking responsibility of a sizable client portfolio, maintaining client relations, preparing statutory accounts and corporation tax computations and performing an audit thereon.
You responsibilities will include:
•Preparing an overall annual plan for client work and regularly monitoring and update.
•Ensure that the partner where appropriate is kept fully briefed on developments on the job, e.g. changes in the business or client personnel which are necessary for them to know to appreciate the client’s circumstances.
•Maintain good working relationships with the client, including deputising for the partner as may be necessary.
•Inform the partner when appropriate of technical, administrative or personnel problems, present or foreseen, which in the senior’s judgement needs action by a partner.
•Deal timeously with all post (tax or general) relation to the client work.
•Notify the client of corporation tax liabilities due two month before the due date.
•Carry out the work in accordance with the firm’s basics program
•Pre-assignment planning
•The execution of the assignment according to plan
•Supervision and training of junior staff
•Control of assignment costs against the budget
•WIP and billing control
•Production of a completed job for a partner review
•Contributing to the development of the practice in accordance with an agreed marketing plan. (I.e. cross selling of other services such as payroll, financial services, tax planning, coaching)
•Reporting on Performance and Training needs of Junior Staff
The ideal Audit Manager will possess the following attributes/skills:
- A full accountancy qualification
- Experience managing a portfolio of over £300,000
- Exposure to P11D review
- The ability to manage staff
