- Description
- Ruby Group are recruiting for a permanent opportunity suitable for an experienced accountant within the Media events industry based in London Victoria, they are a global company with a 30-year history and circa 300 employees. This will start off as a remote role but transition in a hybrid arrangement for circa 2 days.
As an Accountant you will be reporting to the Financial Controller assisting with P&L and Balance Sheet maintenance and ensuring accounting information is reported correctly.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain the VAT account reconciliations and VAT reporting
- Maintain the bank and debtors account reconciliations
- Reconcile and allocate various balance sheet accounts
- Check daily credit card reconciliation
- Liaise with bank
- Maintain the inter-company accounts
- Prepare weekly cashflow forecasts
- Reconcile monthly balance sheet accounts
- Support the annual budget process
- Support the corporation tax return process
- Pay suppliers and post invoices during accounts assistant absence
- Assist in the monthly management accounts process and management reporting
- Assist in the Accountant's or Financial Controller’s absence
- Produce quarterly reports for Office National Statistics
- Produce quarterly Management sales and profitability reports
- Daily and weekly flash reporting (P&L, revenue, debtors and cash)
- Month end reporting tasks as defined by the month end timetable
The ideal accountant will possess the following attributes/skills:
- Part qualified or newly qualified accountant
- UK & European VAT knowledge
- Advanced excel knowledge
- Understanding of UK Corporation Tax process
- Part or newly qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA) & strong academics
