- Ruby Group are recruiting for an office based role within a established manufacturing company seeking a permanent Accountant in Letchworth Garden City, Hertfordshire.
The business has a 50 year history and has grown from rapidly from £15 – £80 million turnover via acquisition and private equity investment, they are very profitable with a stable workforce.
You will be reporting directly to the Finance Manager and working closely with the 5 operating companies and members of the Group’s senior management team. They will also offer study support and accept applications from part qualified, qualified or QBE candidates.
Responsibilities:
• Audit and statutory coordination with production of monthly group consolidated results
• Purchase order, purchase invoice, expenses and payments processes
• Sales order, sales invoice and credit control processes
• Financial accounting, monitoring and reporting systems
• Review of account listings, trial balances and financial data to ensure accuracy
• Recording of bank and cash transactions, preparing regular reconciliations of cash and bank accounts
• Month end and year end procedures to close ledgers, including preparing and posting accruals and prepayments
• Assistance in the preparation of monthly board presentation explaining the group results for presentation to the Group board and banks
The ideal Group Accountant will possess the following attributes/skills:
• Part qualified, qualified or QBE accountant
• Knowledge and experience of UK GAAP and UK statutory reporting requirements
• Experience of completing group consolidations (desirable)
• Manufacturing industry experience (desirable)
