Ruby Group are looking for an Accountant to join a 6 million t/o business reporting into the Financial Controller, your responsibilities will be. Ensure that sales ledger, purchase ledger and cashbooks are updated in a timely manner. Prepare the monthly management accounts. Credit control by telephone, letter, and email, ensuring debtors days managed and a positive cash flow position maintained. Prepare weekly BACS payment run. Maintain and reconcile bank accounts and nominal ledger. Timely submission of VAT and FCA returns. You will also ensure that quality procedures are in place and are adhered to and recommendation of any improvements to the accounts processes and procedures.
The ideal applicant will have a professional qualification in either AAT, ACCA, or CIMA and be at least part qualified. You must have a minimum of three year’s experience gained whilst working in a hands on environment ideally supporting a Finance Manager or Financial Controller. Xero experience is advantageous, you must have intermediate excel skills and the ability to manage deadlines. (Hybrid Working)
