Ruby Group are looking for a FP&A professional to join a newly formed group. Profitable with revenues of £75 million and EBITDA of £20 million. This is an exciting time to join the company, as the group recently acquired two companies, whilst reviewing further M&A opportunities. Our client is planning an IPO for 2023. This is a newly created role reporting into the CFO, the successful candidate will take ownership of the role and have the gravitas to work with and communicate with the C-level managers located in the London Head Office.
The role will start off with the focus on drafting the new IFRS AFS for the group (first time adoption), the drafting process has started but stalled due to lack of resources. The expectation is that the FP&A person will pick up the IFRS process and complete the AFS and all the notes. This includes preparing the IFRS schedules for the auditor and taking over the monthly group consolidation. You will also produce quarterly reports in accordance with IFRS listing standards. Manage the group budget and forecasting process. Review policies, updating for the group, work alongside the CFO in preparation for the IPO. The finance functions in the group work with local GAAP. Only the Group Consolidated AFS is based on IFRS. Part of the role is to bridge the local GAAP and extract data for IFRS reporting. It is essential that a good collaborative relationship is installed and maintained with the subsidiary finance departments. Part of the company ethos is strategic direction and guidance which flows down to the interaction with finance. You will also Prepare board reports, playing a major role in cash flow forecasting and analysis. Provide management information, analysing key trend to highlight potential risk and opportunities. Provide analysis of performance data across the business and Cost analysis to optimize profitability and deliver budget margins. Establishing metrics that provide insightful analysis to take effective actions and make decisions. Driving the production of FP&A reports to management teams; coordinating the delivery of inputs from across the business, providing support wherever necessary to ensure deadlines are met and outputs meet the required high standard. You will also business partner departmental heads to produce best-in-class management information, insightful analysis, and commentary on financial performance within the Group. Developing dashboards that focus the business on critical leading indicators and KPIs that appraise new customer acquisition. Ongoing customer management and business performance; whilst implementing low effort / highly repeatable processes to ensure they are accurately measured and monitored. Take part of continuously to improve FP&A reporting (profit and loss / balance sheet / cash-flow), updating for changes in the business to create reporting packs where required, maintaining a clear line of communication between finance and other departments. You will work closely with wider teams to establish enhanced and real-time reporting across a range of systems
The ideal applicant will have a professional qualification in (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent) – Must have IFRS experience, drafting AFS level as a minimum. Gravitas, drive, and ambition with high levels of energy and desire to get stuck in. Can manipulate and analyse large volumes of data with excellent modelling and analytical skills. Brilliant communicator at all levels across both finance and non-finance. You must have gained a minimum of 5 years hands on experience in operations, budgeting, and forecasting. Advanced MS Excel skills, experience with BI tools is advantageous. This is a Hybrid working role. Career progression is offered and share options available once the company is listed.
