- Description
Ruby Group is working with a private equity-backed tech company that’s been growing steadily year after year—and they’re not slowing down anytime soon. With over 600 employees across the UK and Europe, they’re now looking to bring on a Group Financial Controller to help take their finance function to the next level. This is a brand-new role reporting directly to the CFO, and it’s a great opportunity for someone who wants to make a real impact in a fast-moving, ambitious business.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing the full production of management accounts, making sure everything is accurate, timely, and useful for decision-making. You’ll also ensure financial reports are aligned with budgets and business goals. Leading a small finance team, you’ll help improve current systems and processes, while also overseeing group-wide reporting and consolidation. You’ll play a key role in driving efficiency across the finance function, lead the preparation of statutory accounts under GAAP (with full commentary and analysis), and make sure everything is fully compliant with IFRS. You’ll also be the main point of contact for external auditors and get involved in systems implementation projects. Some occasional travel overseas may be required.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA/CA) with at least four years of post-qualification experience, ideally in a group finance or Financial Controller role. You’ll need a solid understanding of IFRS and GAAP, and if you speak Hungarian, that’s a bonus. This is an urgent hire with a mid-July start date, so it’s perfect for someone who’s immediately available or on a short notice period. The role is remote, but you’ll need to visit the shared service centre from time to time. In return, you’ll get a great working environment, plus a strong benefits and bonus package.
