Ruby Group are looking for a qualified Financial Accountant to join a leading professional services firm. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain broad exposure across financial reporting, statutory compliance, and process improvement in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. In this role, you will assist senior finance team members with month-end and year-end processes, management accounts, and statutory reporting. You’ll also take ownership of balance sheet reconciliations, payroll journals, and cashflow forecasting, while supporting audits and tax compliance. The position includes line management responsibilities and offers scope to develop a wide-ranging skillset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with month-end and year-end close, including management accounts.
- Prepare monthly cashflow forecasts and statutory financial statements.
- Oversee and review balance sheet reconciliations.
- Manage payroll journals and intercompany payments.
- Support statutory audits and respond to audit queries.
- Review VAT accounting and assist with PSA and P11D submissions.
- Line-manage two junior team members and provide guidance.
- Drive process improvements and support ad hoc analysis requests.
About You:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with accounting systems (Oracle NetSuite, Qlik desirable).
- Highly organised, proactive, and comfortable managing a busy workload.
This is a hybrid working role, 3 days a week in the office. Career progression is offered as you will have the opportunity to move into a divisional FM position.
