Ruby Group are looking for a Financial Accountant to join a global business Located in Central London. This is a newly created role as a result of an increase in business. Your responsibilities will be to support the day to day completion of the Company accounting activities, including month end reporting, transactional finance activities including AP and AR and provides support to the Financial Controller on Budgeting & Forecasting and Statutory Reporting. The role supports the shared Services director in the provision of reporting, analysis and insight. In addition the role will assist, support and deputise for the Financial Controller in preparation of the monthly management accounts
- Preparation of monthly management accounts, including journal postings, accruals & prepayments, monthly reports and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Managing the day to day transactional finance activities including AP and AR
- Provide support to the Financial Controller in the preparation of annual budgets and weekly & monthly forecasts
- Ensuring the accuracy of company ledgers and compliance with the accounting practices and procedures as required by corporate policies and procedures, and generally accepted accounting practices
- Completion of internal control reviews and taking action to address any weaknesses identified.
- Providing support to internal and external auditors
- Attend & provide financial support & guidance at operational meetings, as and when required.
- Active collaboration with other Finance colleagues to identify opportunities for process improvement and embedding best tools, systems & ways of working
- Achievement of agreed KPI targets
- Identifying opportunities to improve the effectiveness & efficiency of existing processes and procedures
- Provision of data, analysis and insight
- Perform related duties and special projects as assigned and required
- Completion of duties in a timely and accurate manner
- Supports the development and implementation of Group wide finance system & process change projects

The ideal applicant will be educated to degree level ideally a relevant degree in either , business, economics or accounting. You must be at least part qualified in ACCA or CIMA and have at least 3 years experience working within a finance team. Excellent written and verbal skills are essential. Candidates that have knowledge of SUN or SAP will have an advantage. Team supervision experience is also advantageous.
