- Ruby Group are looking for a Senior Group Accountant to join a ftse250, reporting in to the Head of Group Finance your responsibilities will be to Supervise a newly qualified accountant. Your main stakeholders will be the UK and international finance team, MI, UK FP&A, Underwriting team, Head of Tax, External Auditors. Delivering timely, accurate financial information and analysis, production of monthly Group consolidation process and group board packs including. Flash financial reporting for PE investor, production of board pack commentary, production of board pack schedules – P&L, balance sheet and cash flows. KPI reporting. Production of the Group (IFRS) and subsidiary (UK GAAP) statutory accounts, Quarterly financial reporting in line with external debt obligations, supporting the external audit process. Support the Group budgeting and forecasting cycles, modelling the balance sheet and cash flow. Building strong relationships with external audit team to complete Group and local audits to tight deadlines, ensuring the Group is compliant with all relevant technical accounting pronouncements and standards, ensuring appropriate financial controls and processes are in place to ensure accurate and timely production of financial information. Assist with ad hoc finance projects and provide support to Group Financial Controller and Director of Corporate Finance
The Ideal applicant with be fully qualified in either ACA, ACCA or CIMA and have at least two years post qualified experience gained whilst working within the a group finance function. Advanced Excel and communication skill are essential. You must have a strong working knowledge of IFRS, and GAAP is essential. A strong Knowledge of accounting principles, practices and controls is essential. This is an exciting time to join the business as they have many projects pending.
