- Ruby Group are recruiting for an office based permanent Assistant Financial Controller with ecommerce exposure. My client are a growing $322 million turnover Global IT Services company based in Cannock, Staffordshire with 1,800 employees worldwide at 38 locations in 22 countries.
Established in 2005 they have an impressive, modern office space with planned opportunities for growth and progression. You will also receive a 10% bonus and an incrementally increasing package and they have interaction with some very well known blue chip customers.
You will be looking after a £70 million entity during an exciting time of positive change, internal integration and ERP implementation.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Assisting with preparation of full monthly management accounts, meeting all deadlines
• Detailed sales margin analysis, to provide useful commercial insight.
• pre-payments, accruals, depreciations, and other month-end journals
• Maintaining the fixed asset register
• Stock reconciliation
• Quarterly and monthly reconciliation of different VAT scheme returns, PAYE and pensions
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Assisting with the supervision of nominal, sales, and purchase ledger functions, transitioning to a team of 4
• Overhead variance analysis and commentaries
• Assist with budgeting and cash flow forecasting and reporting
• Assist with year end statutory audit
• Support with planned systems upgrade and implementation
• Business partnering
• Process documentation and improvement projects
The ideal Assistant Financial Controller will possess the following:
• Ecommerce industry exposure (essential)
• ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified with at least 5 years post qualification experience
• Experience in a fast-moving environment
• Proficient in financial & commercial analysis
• Ability to analyse and interpret complex data quickly and accurately
• Advanced Excel skills
• Deadline driven and ability to work under pressure, juggling numerous priorities
• Highly organised, able to manage a number of different tasks simultaneously
• Excellent organisational, presentation and interpersonal skills
• Ability to travel occasionally within the UK
