Financial Controller

Ruby Group are looking for a hands-on Financial Controller to join a small but growing PE backed business. You will report directly to the Group Finance Director, combining operational and strategic responsibilities across financial reporting, process improvement, and cashflow forecasting. This is an excellent opportunity to take a leadership role in a high-growth, purpose-driven business and help build strong financial foundations.

In this role, you will supervise a team of three, coaching and developing junior members of the finance team. Oversee monthly and annual reporting, including group consolidation and intercompany reconciliations, coordinate overseas accounting to meet deadlines, and lead the annual audit, budgeting, and reforecasting processes. You will manage cashflow forecasting, payments, and treasury operations, while. You will also be responsible for enhancing internal controls, driving process improvements, implementing finance automation, and ensuring client contracting is timely and accurate.

The ideal candidate is a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with solid post-qualification experience, preferably as a Financial Controller or Senior Finance Manager in high-growth environments. You will have strong leadership skills, excellent technical accounting knowledge, advanced Excel skills, and experience with finance platforms such as Xero. You thrive in fast-paced, change-driven environments, are a strong communicator, and work with integrity. Hybrid working 2-3 days a week in the office.
