Ruby Group are looking for a General Accountant to join a growing, PE-backed business in the service sector that offers hybrid working and a competitive salary. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in financial reporting and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Journal postings (accruals, prepayments, adjustments)
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Month-end and year-end close
- Management accounts and financial reporting
- Intercompany transactions and bank reconciliations
- VAT returns, tax compliance, and audit support
- Process improvements and financial controls
What We’re Looking For:
- Part-qualified or finalist (AAT / ACCA / CIMA)
- Degree in Finance/Accounting preferred
- 5+ years in a similar role
- Strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills
- Experience in PE-backed or service/construction environments is a plus
