- Ruby Group are recruiting for a London based Head of Technical Accounting position within a recognised international PE-backed £600 million t/o telecommunications firm. The role is suitable for a Big 4 ACA (ICAEW) trained Manager seeking to make their first move to industry or the equivalent level with some commercial post qualified exposure.
You will have a talented and motivated peer group and the business has recently received PE investment so this is a great opportunity to join and make a tangible impact and be recognised as a technical expert within a transformation environment. Your influence will affect real-time commercial decision making and while advising senior business and finance professionals globally (including the CFO and CEO). The environment is excellent, fast-paced, rewarding and evolving day by day. Their office is brand new, with a gym downstairs, a roof terrace, coffee shops, indoor and outdoor break out areas and with a relaxed feel.
A key part of the role will involve shaping policy by drafting IFRS white papers and rolling out initiatives internationally. The business has transitioned from annual reporting to a fast-paced deadline focused quarterly reporting cycle, you will be managing the interim, quarterly and year-end financial statements and audit schedules. Your input will involve internal liaison with the business and external contact with the group’s big 4 external auditors.
The ideal Head of Technical Accounting will possess the following attributes/skills:
· Strong and up to date IFRS knowledge
· Communication and relationship building skills
· Experience of consolidating and analysing all IFRS reporting at a group level
· Evidence of producing IFRS technical White Papers
· Current or previous Big 4 (ICAEW) exposure or the commerce and industry equivalent
