- Ruby Group are recruiting for a permanent Financial Controller within the luxury design and retail industry based in South West Central London.
The business is PE-backed and growing and the environment is like stepping into a gallery and is regularly frequented by some very exclusive and well-known individuals. The MD is looking for ambitious individuals who are really hot with numbers and explain where they are derived and what they mean and seek to progress an FD or CFO within 5 years.
As a Financial Controller, you will work with the Managing Director and other stakeholders to help develop and operate the company’s finance function and necessary systems, processes and controls. You will also will be responsible for managing the company’s day to day finance operations and all financial management, accounting and reporting.
- Ensure all expenditure is in accordance with budgets and properly authorised
- Review account listings, trial balances and other reports to ensure all financial data is properly and accurately recorded in the finance system
- Monitor FX rates and assist the MD with FX hedging strategies.
- Oversee and manage the purchase order, purchase invoice, expenses and payments processes
- Manage sales order, sales invoice and credit control processes
- Manage month-end and year-end procedures to close ledgers, including preparing and posting accruals and prepayments
- Preparation of Monthly Management Accounts
- Preparation of Year-End Accounts Pack in readiness for Audit
- Develop good operational understanding of finance systems, internal controls and processes and recommend improvements where appropriate.
