- Ruby Group are recruiting for a remote fixed term contract opportunity suitable for an experienced Financial Controller, Finance Manager, or Senior Accountancy Professional to work within the subscription e-commerce technology industry based remotely from home for the duration of the 9-month contract. The business is typically based in central London.
They are looking for a senior candidate who can work independently, without extensive coaching to close areas of month-end and then improve processes and eventually hand over to a less experienced candidate once processes are established.
The business has been through some positive change and has grown significantly over the last few years. You will be working in a fast-paced, technically advanced accountancy landscape with the potential to grow with the business and transfer to a permanent role should you wish to after making your mark.
You will be taking on responsibilities with the month-end close, working towards producing an accurate and timely management accounts pack. You will be expected to take full accountability of finance and accounting areas with the ultimate aim to improve the efficiency and accuracy of the processes within these areas. The current set up is very manual and one needs to be able to handle ambiguity and communicate challenges in real-time. You need to have ample experience closing the month-end accounts and be comfortable with excel ideally to an advanced level.
The ideal Senior Management Accountant will possess the following attributes/skills:
- Experience from both a large corporate and a growth SME environment
- Advanced Excel
- Experience of manual, Microsoft excel based accounting
- CIMA, ACA (ICAEW) or ACCA qualification
- Experience of international subscription-based revenue accounting (desirable)
