Ruby Group are recruiting a Finance Manager position for a prestigious hotel group in Central London. The position is based in their principal property and managing a team of 5. The role is reporting into the Group Financial Controller and UK Director.
The main duties/Responsibilities of role are: -
- Analyse cash flow performance of the hotel through controls on accounts payable, income audit and cash control
- Enforces, documents and establishes adequate controls for all areas of responsibility and ensures controls will satisfy or improve the level of customer service and minimize business risk.
- Maintains accurate and timely financial and operating information and provides analysis, interpretations and projections to management as required
- Meets all monthly deadlines as set out by the Finance Director.
- Prepares Management Accounts in line with company deadlines.
- Maintains Balance Sheets controls and reconciliations
- Conducts monthly audits on own team to ensure they are complying with required procedures
- Performs all duties as required by the Finance Director in respect of controls
- Pro-actively manages the payroll function and ensures all costs are analysed compared to budget and weekly departmental forecasts completed.
- Provides financial guidance to the payroll department where needed
- Provides proactive administrative support to Finance Director with reference to policy enforcement, business advice and operational assistance
- Implements and maintains acceptable accounting practices and procedures as required by corporate policies and procedures, generally accepted accounting practices, and those affected by local conditions
- Utilises leadership skills and motivation to maximise employee productivity and satisfaction
- Act as the Senior Finance Role in the property in the absence of the Finance Director
The ideal candidate will be an ACCA/CIMA or ACA qualified professional who has one-year PQE. The candidate will come from a hospitality background ideally having previous experience in a hotel cluster or group. Good communication and advanced excel skills are a must.
