Ruby Group are recruiting a Head of Finance position for a FinTech company based in Central London. As the Head of Finance you will be a member of the senior management team and will be expected to influence the business across all business activities and operations. This is a well-rounded role where you will need skills and experience that extend beyond finance, and the desire and capability to add value at a senior level. This is a permanent role, offering hybrid working, reporting into the CFO and managing a team of four professionals.
The duties/responsibilities are: -
- Responsible for timely and accurate preparation and review of monthly reporting (internal and external)
- Working collaboratively with senior member of the finance team and the business to ensure performance is understood and reporting is delivered on time.
- Ensure that the Finance function meets the needs of the business.
- Maintain and develop robust financial systems and procedures.
- Lead and co-ordinate the annual budget process.
- Provide the leadership team and functional heads with business partnering advice, insight and analysis as required.
- Further develop and document the accounting policies of the business, ensuring financial reporting is aligned with accounting standard FRS 102
- Overseeing the preparation of the annual report and associated notes
- Work alongside the technical finance team with transitioning to IFRS.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified finance professional (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with a solid understanding of accounting, and FP&A knowledge. The successful candidate will also have the desire to work in a high growth business and fast paced environment and used to a hands-on role and the ability to work to tight deadlines. The candidate will ideally come from a FinTech/ Financial services or professional services background.
